How To Restore Vaginal pH With Lemons

When a woman has a BV infection, her vaginal pH is out of balance. Even if she takes antibiotics or uses a home remedy to get rid of the BV, this is usually only temporary because this doesn’t cure the pH imbalance. In this post, we are going to learn how to restore vaginal pH with lemons. This is a long-term fix that will keep those recurring BV infections away.

To restore vaginal pH with lemons, you’ll need to use one to two lemons a day so it would be most economical to buy a bag of lemons rather than individual lemons. If you can, get a bag of organic lemons as they have a more diverse collection of micronutrients than do conventionally grown lemons. However, either will work for restoring vaginal pH. Just be sure to wash conventional lemons before you slice them as they may be sprayed with invisible pesticides and herbicides and you don’t want even a trace of this going into your food or being absorbed through your skin.

Step 1: Drinking Lemon Water

In the morning before breakfast, mix the juice of half a lemon in about 4-6 ounces of water and drink it. Immediately follow this by swishing 2-4 ounces of water in your mouth to remove the residual lemon juice from your teeth. If your BV has been really bad, repeat this at night after dinner.

Step 2: Add Fresh Lemon Juice To Food

Fresh lemon juice added right before you eat almost any savory food will really pick up the flavor of the food, as well as help you restore your vaginal pH. I like to squeeze a very liberal amount on fish. Fresh lemon juice added to a bowl of piping hot soup is also extremely good, especially soups with a chicken broth base, seafood, or coconut milk. If you don’t believe me, try it for a month and see if it makes a difference. In the beginning, use at least one lemon a day. Later you can cut back to just using lemon juice on food a few times a week.
