A Review of OTC BV Treatments

Regarding OTC BV treatments and OTC BV cures, there seems to be a lot of confusion about the difference between bacterial infections and yeast infections in the vaginal region. This is important because many OTC medicines designed to kill a yeast infection will not help with a BV infection. In other words, they are not the actual good bacterial. Instead, this suppository has the nutrients needed to feed the Lactobacillus bacteria already present so they can grow more rapidly. It is best to use this product only after you use the homeopathic cure if you have an active infection when you start.

If you want to directly re-populate your vagina with good Lactobacillus bacteria that are known to grow there naturally, an OTC BV product called Jarrows Formula Femdophilus is a very popular choice. This formula contains active live cultures of Lactobacillus rhamnosus and Lactobacillus reuteri, both known to be important good bacteria in the vagina.
